HORTICULTURAL ENTRY FORM 2010

RULES OF ENTRY
1.
Staging will take place on Friday 30th July 2010 from 7.00pm until 9.00pm and Saturday 31st July from 7.00am until 9.00am after which time the marquee will be cleared for judging. Entries will be accepted until 9.00 am PROMPT on Saturday 31st July 2010.
PLEASE NOTE THAT JUDGING WILL COMMENCE AT 9.15 AM PROMPT
2.
An entry fee of £0.20 per exhibit must accompany each entry except for Classes 25, 26, 27, 36 and 64 which are £1.00. Children's Classes are free. Other Classes entered by children must be paid for.
3.
Produce must be grown by the exhibitor in a garden or allotment and pot plants must belong to the exhibitor for at least three months prior to the Show. No persons employed in any professional capacity in the horticultural trade are eligible to enter.
4.
Vases will be supplied if required and in all cases where cut material is exhibited all items must be in water retaining material.
5.
Whilst the Committee will take all reasonable care of both exhibits and containers, they cannot take responsibility for damage or loss to either.
6.
Judges can, at their discretion, only award a second or third prize. They may also award a fourth prize if they consider this necessary.
7.
No exhibit to be removed before 4.00pm on the day of the Show without prior consent of show officials. Any exhibitor so doing will forfeit all prize monies due.
8.
Reserve tickets will be available for all items which are not to be sold. THESE MUST BE OBTAINED WHEN ENTERING EXHIBITS AND CLEARLY DISPLAYED ON ALL EXHIBITS NOT FOR SALE. Any items not clearly marked will be sold at the end of the Show to defray expenses.
9.
All trophies are to be held for one year and must be returned three weeks before the 2011 Show, in a clean condition.
10.
The marquee must be cleared of all exhibits by 5.30pm on the day of the Show. Officials accept no responsibility for any items left after this time without instructions as to its disposal.
11.
Class 1 to be judged jointly by flower and vegetable judges.
12.
All vegetables will be judged by the new NVS Judges Guide.
13.
Where oasis is used, it should not protrude above the rim of the container.
