Goat classes are held under the Rules, Regulations and Recognition of the British Goat Society.
All exhibits must be registered with the BGS in the name of the owner and in the name of the exhibitor, the registered name, number and earmark to be quoted on the entry form.
The registered number of any goat, initially entered as RAF (Registration Applied For) must be submitted to the Show organisers before the goat competes.
All goats in milk must have kidded a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of the Show. No goat that might be pregnant or has aborted within the previous 30 days to be brought onto the Showground.
CAE REQUIREMENTS
Exhibitors are advised that milk produced at the Show should not be fed to any goat (this appears to be a factor in the spread of CAE).
Exhibitors are NOT to bring to the Showground any animal that has had a positive result on a CAE test. ALL animals must be in a healthy condition. The Committee reserves the right to reject any animal, which appears otherwise.
Neither the NSGS nor its hosts shall be responsible for any stock or property lost or damaged at the Show or in transit.
